The difference between white and black tips
The abrasive in white tips is made from aluminum oxide, making them more flexible, softer, and wear-resistant. Black tips are made from silicon carbide, making them harder but also more brittle.
White tips feature fine, round abrasive grains that do not injure the nail plate. Black tips have sharp abrasive grains that self-clean during processing.
White tips have a stearate coating that prevents clogging with organic dust. Black tips do not have such a coating.
White tips handle dry nail filing better, while black tips perform well for wet nail filing.
The white color of the tip is more hygienic during work than black, as smudges or scratches from filing are not visible on the file, and the light abrasive grains are not noticeable on artificial material during nail extension.
